The Photo Essay 1:00 – 3:30 pm ET

Famed photo essayist Eugene Smith said, “Photography is a small voice, at best, but sometimes—just sometimes—one photograph or a group of them can lure our senses into awareness.”

The photo essay is a form of visual storytelling that presents an overarching narrative through a series of images. Structured with the right “visual ingredients”, a photo essay can immerse audiences into your story, with the intent to evoke emotion and elicit action on an issue of concern. Participants will be exposed to exemplary photo essays and have a chance to reflect on their own photographic works.
